Where does the MichaelRandom name come from?
When I created my first a hard techno track, at that time frequently used "Randomize" function. That was at this point where I have selected this temporary name.
Once I came across the program for music production and I couldn't leave it until now. I've created various electronic music, but as a result stayed on hardtechno. When my sound quality begun to improve, I have started to attack the Internet. Adherents have been found, as DJ Troll.With trial & error I decided to continue creating, especially when having seen good reaction to my music. I've been posting tracks to the Internet forums for a year as a spam-bot and also communicating with hardtechno producers like Greg Notill. To those who are unaware of your work, how would you describe MichaelRandom's sound?
I can describe the typical sounding, but it is not constant, it's because all the time I desire changes and new explorations in music. Random sound is the availability techno & mechanical elements & sounds in a track always. It can be either with a melody or without. It's flexible. Which do you enjoy more, DJ'ing or production?
Production is a heavier part, demands patience. Therefore Djing brings more pleasure. But I can't live without both, tough. What song that you have produced are you most proud of?
I do not like to praise myself in every possible way. But I think track "Fuck the Faggots" the most actual. Dynamic sound of units in a track is well arranged. Analogue or Digital?
I work with digital, it easier, more cheaply and have less limitation. What artists or labels are you excited about right now?
I like different sides of hardtechno. Not so much labels & artists, who I respect every time. I am assured about some artist for 100% : Tomash Gee & Leo Laker, and Dariush Gee for sure. They make the brilliants. Very interesting music by DJ Atom, Bruce and Mechanical Brothers this year. Tell us something about yourself we'd never know?
Hehehe… harder question. Ok. I can tell you some secrets.I was engaged in the latino-American dances some years in my childhood. I've drop it for sure, but it has benefited a lot of so good things, as feelings of a rhythm by those occupations. I like instrumental music. As example, I 'm a fun of "Sepultura", especially old records. Max Cavalera makes the power always. “Soul Fly” is also great band. We can talk long about my life. Too many things you don't know about me. I can mention only what pursues me all my life. I can't be myself without following things: Rocking music, parties & producing. Could you please describe Russian hardtechno scene?
Hmm...Russian HT scene was born not so long time ago. I talk about released Russian HT music. I can enumerate on fingers, who produce hardtechno in Russia.Cannon Project, Recycle Bot, DJ Troll, me, and a lot of newbies in this craft.We're thinking and looking for new ideas, together as party organizers and promotion team. We have good DJ's and good promoters, however only few know how to it properly. Russian Hard Techno scene requires complete modification! We work on it. Since there is no such thing as an "overnight success," what piece of advice would you give others?
